My over 60’s classes are Chair based and offer the benefits of gentle stretching as well as breathing and relaxation techniques to assist in a whole range of mind and body concerns such as general long term anxiety and stress reduction, helping low level chronic conditions including chronic pain management, improving flexibility, fitness and body tone, recovery from illness or surgery and allowing you to feel more grounded and back in control. Every session with me will be tailored to the groups specific needs.
The class will start with grounding and focusing, followed by breathing exercises. The main body of the class will be composed of gentle basic postures, some flowing and some done individually using ratios, all supported with the use of blocks, belts and chairs where necessary. We will always finish off with a guided relaxation/meditation.
